Terms & license

1. Who we are

Cave Recordz (caverecordz.com) is run by [Jon's full legal name] ("jontravelz", "Jon", "we"), a private individual based in Portugal. Contact: hello@caverecordz.com.

These terms apply to every beat bought on this site. By placing an order you accept them.

2. What you buy

Every beat is sold exactly once. When you buy a beat you get:

• the audio files listed on the beat's page (for example WAV, MP3 and stems);
• a signed exclusive license (PDF) in your name;
• the guarantee that the beat is removed from sale and will never be sold or licensed to anyone else.

Previews on this site are tagged and for listening only. They are not licensed for any use.

3. Your rights

Full rights are given to the buyer upon purchase. Once your payment is confirmed, Jon grants you an exclusive, worldwide, perpetual and irrevocable license covering all economic rights in the beat. In particular you may:

• record vocals over it, edit, remix, rearrange and adapt it;
• release, sell, stream, broadcast and perform the resulting work, in any format and on any platform, with no limit on copies, streams or revenue;
• use it in videos, films, games, adverts and sync placements;
• register the resulting work with collecting societies and content-ID systems, keeping 100% of the income;
• transfer or sub-license these rights to others.

No royalties or further payments are owed to Jon. Jon keeps only the moral rights that Portuguese law does not allow an author to give up, such as being recognised as the author of the beat. A credit like "prod. jontravelz" is appreciated.

Jon guarantees that the beat is his original work and contains no uncleared third-party samples.

4. Prices and payment

Prices are in euros (EUR) and are the total you pay. You can pay by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay and MB WAY (processed by Stripe), or with bitcoin over Lightning or on-chain (processed by Swiss Bitcoin Pay). We never see or store your card details.

When you start checkout, the beat is held for you for about 30 minutes. If the payment isn't completed in that time, the hold ends and the beat goes back on sale.

If your payment arrives after the hold ended and the beat was sold to someone else, you get a full refund.

5. Delivery

Delivery is digital and immediate. After payment you are taken to a download page, and the same link is emailed to you.

Through that link each file can be downloaded up to 5 times within 30 days. Sign in with the email you used at checkout for unlimited downloads from your library. Please keep your own backup of the files.

6. Right of withdrawal and refunds

Under EU and Portuguese consumer law you normally have 14 days to withdraw from an online purchase. For digital content you lose that right once delivery starts, if you asked for immediate delivery and acknowledged the loss of the right. Our checkout asks for this explicitly, so purchases can't be withdrawn once the files are available.

If a file is faulty or missing, write to us and we will fix it or replace it. Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected.

7. Custom beats

The custom beat form is a request, not an order. Price, timing and rights for a custom beat are agreed with Jon by email before any work or payment.

8. Liability

We are responsible for delivering what you paid for. We are not liable for indirect losses, such as lost income, or for how you use the beat. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

9. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by Portuguese law. If you are a consumer you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live. Before going to court, please contact us; most problems are solved by email.
